‘Best Teacher Ever’: Generations of Ken Elzinga’s Students Reminisce

The University of Virginia’s official Facebook account recently asked alumni if they had taken a course taught by Ken Elzinga. The response was staggering, spanning members of the beloved economics professor’s first class in 1967 to the present day. Several former students reported their children also having taken one of Elzinga’s courses.
Here we share just a few of the hundreds of memories this iconic instructor has helped create at the University over nearly 50 years.
