University of Virginia photographer Sanjay Suchak captured both the sun and moon in this Nov. 16 photo, as the sun set behind the Lawn while a waxing crescent moon lingered between the trees.
A few students are visible in the foreground, talking in small groups or walking home from class. Students wrapped up in-person classes on Tuesday, and will conclude the fall semester online as they return home for an extended winter break.
